(一）When will I receive the
examination results?
答:Exam results are sent by first-class mail, usually within
90 days of the exam date. Therefore, your address must
be current at all times. Exam results will also be posted
online. To access online results, you will need a user
name and password for the Candidate Services section
of the site.

（二）What is the CFA®
program all about?
答：The Chartered Financial Analyst®
("CFA®")
program is a globally recognized standard for professionals
in the financial services industry. The CFA®
charter is given by the Association for Investment Management
and Research ("AIMR®").
The first charter was awarded in 1963 and the program
is over 37 years old. More than 35,000 charters have been
awarded during this period. For more information, please

assists candidates in preparing for the CFA®
exams.

(三）If I am a candidate, am I
also an AIMR®
member?
答：No. Upon passing the Level III exam, candidates who
wish to earn the CFA®
charter must first apply for membership in AIMR®
and an AIMR®
Member Society or Chapter if one is located within
50 miles (80 km) of candidate's place of business. When
enrolling for Level III, AIMR®
strongly urges you to apply for membership in AIMR®
and an AIMR®
Member Society or Chapter so that your charter will not
be delayed after you pass the Level III exam. You can

(四）What are the CFA®
program requirements?
答：To qualify for the award of the CFA®
charter, AIMR®
has set four requirements: Pass the sequence of three
exams, referred to as Level I, Level II, and Level
III. These are administered once a year, on the first
Saturday after Memorial Day. A candidate can take only
one exam per year. You can only take the next level
exam after passing the previous level exam. This means
that it will take you at least three years to pass
all the exams. After registering, you have 3 years to
take the Level I exam, and 7 years to complete the CFA®
program; Have at least 3 years of relevant work experience
defined as "working in the investment decision-making
process"; Fulfill AIMR®
membership requirements which include membership of
AIMR®
as well as an AIMR®
Member Society Chapter; and After becoming a charterholder,
the candidate must comply with AIMR®'s
policies and other requirements.

（五）Do I need to have the three
years of work experience before I enter the program?
答：No, but you must have the requisite three years of
work experience prior to being awarded a CFA charter.
This experience may be accrued while you complete the
program (which takes a minimum of three years), after
you pass the Level III exam, or from previous positions.
If you still do not have the experience following completion
of the final exam, you will not receive the CFA®
charter until you notify AIMR®
that you have satisfied the 36-month experience requirement.

（六）What is a Learning Outcome
Statement?
答：Starting from a general body of knowledge, AIMR®
assigns a set of readings from textbooks and journal articles
for different subject areas: economics, ethics, equity,
corporate finance, accounting/financial statement analysis,
fixed income securities, markets, portfolio management,
and quantitative methods. Each reading has a set of learning
outcomes. AIMR®
constructs these learning outcome statements to focus
the candidate’s study efforts on particular topics within

(七）What if I do not complete
the program within seven years?
答： You must reregister. Upon initial registration, you
have three years to take the first exam before your registration
expires; you have a total of seven years to complete
the program before you have to reregister. Reregistration
involves primarily paying both fees and completing
the Registration & Enrollment Form again. Under AIMR®'s
reregistration policy, candidates who reregister are not
currently required to retake any previously passed
examinations, but must provide AIMR®
with sufficient evidence of examinations passed in order
to reregister at an exam level other than Level I.

(八)What if my work experience
does not qualify me for the CFA®
charter when I want to enroll?
答：Candidates are provided the work experience guidelines
for the eventual award of the CFA®
charter beginning with the CFA®
Program Level 1 materials. Work experience is self-reported
when a candidate enrolls for the Level III exam. As long
as you have met the entrance requirements for the
CFA®
Program, you are eligible to sit for the exams.

(九)How long will it take for
me to complete my CFA®
program?
答： The minimum time needed is three years and people
may take longer depending on their other time commitments,
such as a full time job etc. The average time to completion
of the three exams is over 4 years. Our goal is to help
you minimize this time commitment.

Can you tell me if you have received her candidate application
and if she has been accepted?
答：No. Candidate information is not released to individuals
other than the candidates as noted in AIMR®'s
